Cable TV or IPTV?

Today we’re going to tackle another frequently asked question: “What’s the difference between KTV and IPTV?

First of all, it should be noted that there are many types of TV connections. Today we are considering cable TV and IPTV. To better understand the differences of these services, let’s take a closer look at each of them.

So, the signal transmission of cable TV is done through a separate television (coaxial) cable, independent of the Internet. Cable TV can be both digital and analog.

You don’t need any additional equipment if your TV has DVB-C. If your TV doesn’t have this feature, you can get 48 analog channels, or you can buy a DVB-C set-top box to access a complete package of digital cable TV.

To view TV programs in HD (high definition television) also need to pay attention to the model and functionality of your TV.

Cable TV can be connected to any number of televisions via a splitter.

Please note that the connection of KTV depends on the technical possibility, to clarify the possibility of connecting, contact the office or our group.

IPTV is a technology of connecting television with an Internet cable. It is important that this technology is different from the Internet TV.
IPTV is a digital television, as technology implies digital packet transmission of data, in our case – video data.

For the correct work of IPTV you need a special console, router and of course Internet connection.
If you have several televisions in your house, you will need the same number of IPTV set-top boxes. It is possible to connect two TV sets to one console, but in this case you will not be able to watch TV series in the kitchen and soccer game in the living room, both TV sets will be broadcast the same thing.

But, in the IPTV format the TimeShift function is available, which allows you to record, pause and rewind television broadcasts.
Our company also offers an EPG option – TV Guide, which makes it possible to view TV programs for the week ahead, the TV Guide is available in DVB-C (cable digital) and IPTV formats.
